Do you supply garage doors?
No - our focus is on old up-and-over garage door repairs using Howards knowledge and over 30 years of experience partly gained when he had his own garage door company for over 13 years.This means he can usually find a solution whereas others can't because he was fitting these now ancient garage doors from new! We don't believe in upselling, and are not a garage door supplier, but until Google have a "garage-door-repairs" category it is how we have to advertise. If you've been told your garage door is beyond saving Howard may well be able to fix it. Hundreds of our customers were told they needed a new garage door when they only needed a simple repair for around £95. See our reviews. Do you have a call out charge?
No call out charge and no survey charge - ever. Also all our prices include parts and labour, and as a small family business that specialises in garage-door-repairs only there is no added vat. With absolutely no sales pressure or obligation it is worth consulting Howard first for an honest and free assessment. In our experience it is very likely that you do not need to spend hundreds of pounds on a new garage door, but if you do we can at least tell you who to avoid!
Do you offer same day service?
In the Plymouth area it is usually the same day if you book before 1pm. Outlying areas maybe next day - but we never say we will be there and then not show up, unlike some. If we book you an appointment you can rest assured that Howard won't let you down and leave you in a panic because you're door won't close. We are very reliable just check our reviews, many of them mention that they chose us after being let down by other companies.
Do you give a warranty and are you insured?
We give a 12 month warranty on cables, springs etc. 5 years on automatic operators. Our customer service is excellent and we are insured for up to 5 million pounds! If you do have a problem we prioritise existing customers.
Is it easy to contact you?
Yes, many of our reviews mention how easy it is. Contact form, Facebook, WhatsApp, message, text, phone. 8am to 8pm or later. Including weekends. We work from home and we will give quick quotes based on photos you send us so you don't have to go through the hard sell experience you get from national companies.
Why is your price so low and how do I pay?
We have lower overheads, no showrooms, "technicians" or fleets of vans and we are not VAT registered because we are not supplying, just repairing. Which is why we can say best price guaranteed. The price you see is the price you pay and we believe it is the cheapest and best value in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. Especially on automatic operators as we pay the vat!

Do you fix roller garage doors?
No we DO NOT work on commercial garage doors, or modern roller shutter garage doors such as Essati, Crocodile, Garolla or Seceuroglide. Howards expertise is in old up-and-over and sectional garage door repairs.
Do you have a survey charge?
No we DO NOT. Beware terms like Survey, Advice Visit, Repair Service - the price upfront might look good value - but they charge extra for parts, and labour over 20 minutes!!! You don't get your repair service charge back if you refuse the quote. Read their 1* reviews to see what they charge! We never ask for money in advance. Our quotes are free - no obligation or upselling and our 5* reviews reflect this. We charge £95 to replace both garage door cables - parts and all labour included no VAT and a free oil + service, less than a quarter of the price of national companies.
